COLUMBIA — Charles David Rumbaugh of Hallsville, Missouri, died on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Boone County Hospital. He was 60.

Born on May 14, 1954, in Columbia to Charles C. and Iris Rumbaugh, Mr. Rumbaugh was a lifelong salesman and talented storyteller.

He enjoyed practical jokes and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Rumbaugh is survived by his mother, Iris Rumbaugh, of Hallsville, Missouri; one daughter, Amanda Tappana and her husband, Stephen Tappana, of Sturgeon, Missouri; three sisters, Sandra Redzus, Sharon Young and Nancy Rumbaugh; and many nieces and nephews.

His father, Charles C. Rumbaugh, and his brother, Roy R. Rumbaugh, died earlier.

Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Red Top Christian Church, 14355 Route U, Hallsville, Missouri, 65255. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
